Hanukkah: The Festival of Lights

Basic objective of this lecture is to present on Hanukkah: The Festival of Lights. Hanukkah means dedication; it is the Jewish Festival of Lights and it remembers the rededication of the second Jewish Temple in Jerusalem.It celebrated for eight days and nights; starts on the 25 of Kislev on the Hebrew calendar (November or December on the Gregorian calendar). The holiday commemorates the rededication of the holy Temple in Jerusalem after the Jews’ 165 B.C.E. victory over the Hellenist Syrians.
