General objective of this lecture is to present on “The Raven” by Edgar Allan Poe. “The Raven” is a narrative poem by American writer Edgar Allan Poe. First published in January 1845, the poem is often noted for its musicality, stylized language, and supernatural atmosphere. Here briefly focus on why does Edgar Allan Poe use a raven instead of another bird as the major symbol of this poem.¬†Poe wrote the poem as a narrative, without intentionally creating an allegory or falling into didacticism.
