Political Ecology

The definition of “political ecology” was initially coined by Frank Thone within the article published inside 1935. It has been widely used since then in the context of human location and human ecology, but without the need of systematic definition. Political ecology is the study of the relationship between political, economic and societal factors with environment issues and modifications. Political ecology may differ from apolitical ecological studies by politicizing environment issues and phenomena.
