Common Ingroup Identity

The common identity group type identifies the potential causes and outcomes with the re categorization practice that changes the individual’s common ingroup identity. The model assumes that inter class bias reflects in-group favoritism as an alternative to outgroup derogation. Within the model, Gaertner details the behavior, emotional and social interactions between the group members to be the start of the re categorization practice, or the reasons.
