Reflexivity

Reflexivity

Reflexivity is the process of examining both oneself as researcher, and the research relationship. It involves making the research process itself a focus of inquiry, laying open pre-conceptions and becoming aware of situational dynamics in which the interviewer and respondent are jointly involved in knowledge production. Reflexivity is the values and thoughts of a person will be represented in their work. In other words,
the idea that a person’s thoughts and ideas tend to be inherently biased.
