Transculturation

Transculturation

Transculturation reflects the natural tendency of individuals to resolve conflicts after some time, rather than exacerbating all of them. (In the modern day context, both conflicts and also resolutions are increased by communication and also transportation technology —the old tendency of civilizations drifting or remaining apart may be replaced by tougher forces for taking societies together.) Where transculturation impacts ethnicity and ethnic issues the definition of “ethnoconvergence” is occasionally used.
