Rational Choice Theory

Rational Choice Theory is an economic principle that assumes that people always make prudent and logical decisions that supply to them the greatest profit or satisfaction and that are in their particular highest self-interest. Most mainstream economical assumptions and theories provide rational choice hypothesis. Rational choice theory, also known rational action hypothesis, is a structure for understanding and infrequently formally modeling social and economic behavior.
