Unemployment is often used as a measure of the health of the economy. It’s levels are increasing dramatically in many parts of the world. The main reason for the high level of unemployment is technological progress. Some additional types of unemployment that are occasionally mentioned are seasonal unemployment, hardcore unemployment, and hidden unemployment.
