It is a broadly described annual report of Titas Gas Transmission & Distribution Company Limited in the year of 2016. At present, the authorized and the paid-up capital of the Company are Taka. 2,000.00 and Taka. 989.22 Crore respectively. During FY 2015-16, a total of 16,583.33 MMCM of gas was sold and sales revenue of Tk. 11,203.83 Crore was earned and the total revenue was Tk. 11,317.10 Crore with meter rent & surcharge. Compared to previous year’s revenue of Tk. 8,160.62 Crore, the growth rate in revenue income for the year under review was 38.68%. The Company has earned a net profit before tax and net profit after tax of Tk. 970.02 Crore & Tk. 729.39 Crore respectively during 2015-16 FY. The Company’s net profit before tax and net profit after tax were Tk. 1210.13 Crore & Tk. 888.61 Crore respectively during 2014-15 FY. During the financial year under review, earning per share (EPS) is Tk. 7.37 which was Tk. 8.98 in the year 2014-15.
The Board of Directors of the Company has recommended @20% Cash Dividend for the year ended 2016. These financial statements are presented in Bangladesh Taka (Taka/Tk/BDT) which is the company’s functional currency. All financial information presented in Taka has been rounded off to the nearest Taka.
