A financial ratio is a relative magnitude of two selected numerical values taken from an enterprise’s monetary statements. Often found in accounting, there are numerous standard ratios used to try to evaluate the general financial condition of any corporation or other organization. Values found in calculating financial ratio is taken from the balance sheet, income statement, assertion of cash streams or the assertion of retained income.
