Vertical Farming
Subject: Agriculture | Topics:

The phrase “Vertical farming” seemed to be coined by Gilbert Ellis Bailey with 1915 in his book Vertical Farming. Vertical farming as being a component of urban agriculture is the practice of cultivating facilities within a skyscraper greenhouse or on vertically inclined surfaces. The modern concept of vertical farming uses techniques similar to glass houses, where natural sunlight may be augmented with synthetic lighting.
