Computational biology takes a different approach from biological computation, which is a subfield of computer science and computer engineering using bioengineering and biology to make computers, but is related to bioinformatics, which is usually an interdisciplinary science utilizing computers to retail store and process scientific data. The area is broadly outlined and includes foundations in computer research, applied mathematics, biochemistry, chemistry, molecular chemistry and biology, genetics, ecology and neuroscience.
