Basic purpose of this lecture is to presentation on Gluconeogenesis. Gluconeogenesis is the generation of glucose by other substrates. Like many metabolic trails it happens mostly inside liver, and is triggered by the action of insulin. Gluconeogenesis begins with various substrates converted into pyruvate. and this proceed though precisely what is essentially the reverse of glycosis. Lactate from anaerobic exercising in skeletal muscle is easily transformed into pyruvate; this happens as part of the Cori cycle.
