Basic objective of this lecture is to present on Types of Radioactive Decay. There are three major types of nuclear decay that radioactive particles can undergo: alpha, beta, or gamma decay. here briefly describe on six common types of radioactive decay. Alpha emission; Beta emission; Positron emission; Electron capture; Gamma emission and Spontaneous fission. Nuclides outside the band of stability are generally radioactive.
