Internet Culture and its Impact

Internet Culture and its Impact

 Background of the Study:

Internet as the device of modern invention, It becomes bononza of present era it develops hugely including information and communication technology (ICT), is commonly regarded both as an indicator of the postmodern era of globalization  and as the very precondition for that era of intensive worldwide interactions of people and exchanges of goods, services, information, and capital.

Networking technologies can often be used to create a space for communities of practice like the photocopier technicians, to think together in theirs own ways. This is perhaps the most common use of the internet, discussion groups organized by people who wish to pool their information and ideas about a topic of shared interest the internet in isolation. Regardless of whether they are located in the same geographic region or distributed around the globe, a community’s members will typically think together using several media, such as the telephone, electronic, mail, printed publications, and face to face meetings and the internet is best conceived as simple one component of this larger ecology of media. Social networks also influence the adoption of new technologies. If the members of a community already have social connections to one another then they are more likely to benefit from it. Every culture has its own distinctive practices for creating and maintaining social networks and society will be healthier in political and economic terms when these practices are functioning well. For example it has long been a mystery why the people of Sarajevo have maintained their tolerant pluralistic culture as terrible wars rage around them. A visit to the city, however, makes one reason entirely obvious. Sarajevo is organized around a pedestrian mall about two kilometers long and the people entertain themselves by walking the length of this mall, meeting their acquaintances and stopping for coffee. Social connections are thus continually renewed and people are naturally to introduce their friends to one another. To take another example, Hungary remained a relatively healthy society during the sonnet occupation largely because of its well developed social network called internet? Based on a tradition of close life long relationship among the members of each gymnasium class. The social networks of silicon valley by contrast depend on workplace connections. People frequently move to new jobs, but they assiduously maintain their relationships with their previous workers. Authoritarian societies will attempt to suppress the cultural practices of networking, and democratic societies will promote them. Broad implementation of the internet is one way to promote social networking and the existing practices of course much of the spread of the internet is spontaneous. So long as the telephone system works reasonably well. Internet service providers can spring up to offer internet service to anyone who wants it. In an affluent society with strong social networks, this might be enough.

In Bangladesh this is turned into famous in very soon. Before one or two decades this techniques was unthinkable. Urban people use most of the internet. They show welcome to modern science, achievement willingly. The absence of effective and efficient laws govt has not control over internet using. We can sort out negative side vise versa positive one in our society. In this way our teen and young people or future generation are in danger, because they grew up at this time. This is the time of growing up mentally for them. They will be the future leader of our nation. Meanwhile they need correct direction for healthy cultural practice. We should took care them and need to check out what do they get from internet.

Statement of the problem:

Bangladesh being a developing country is introducing with many modern technology in her daily works. As a consequence many scientific machines are being introduced for daily uses. Internet, the legendary invention of modern technology is being utilized all over the world. Bangladesh has been using internet since 1996. At the beginning of its utilization only providing the information about the parliament election result. Now internet is various works of our daily life including begin on and office works. The internet has offered student a big benefit and research services. Though the internet students can enter to political news and library sites and working at intellectual outcomes for scientist and scholars all over the world. It also gives on opportunity of looking at information resources, channels and different sites which enriches the political culture of student. (Sunday, Gazette Mail April 13, 2008)

The effects of Hip Hip on our culture. Many opines that Hip-Hop has detrimental effect on our culture and youth. Moreover internet are an unequally a feature of modern societies for their development. It has accompanied to increase in the scale and complexity of societal activities agreement, rapid social charge, technological innovation, rising personal income & standard of life and the decline of some traditional forms of control of authority. In Bangladesh internet was circulated in 1993 at December. At that time its use was United and only in E-mail. In 1996 at 15 June it addition with the online Bangladesh become footed in the new technological world. For rapid advance of connection with technologies has led to amazing rapid growth of communication. Since the advent of internet in Bangladesh, it had captured the imagination of the youth and had been long accustomed unimaginative conversation. It had fostered a dramatic growth in difference content value story lines, portrayal characters, exposure of sex and violence etc. As a result it has created both positive and negative impact of every sphere of our life.  Moreover the impact of internet is way of changing our every daily life especially youth. By using social network as like as face book twitter they can know about different culture. So it has drawn both positive and negative impact over their thinking or was of life. In contemporary we can see an exclusive pattern of behavior and attitude among youth age people about and rural area thus it has become a problem to be studies. And I feel that it is time to conduct such study. Moreover as I mentioned before that the youth age group are the most vulnerable grows and should need to draw attention among them to regard the effect of internet.

Rational of the study:

The young generation is very important because at this level, the foundation for future life are built and the students are succeed in life with the help of skills they acquire at this level. But all are not conscious about internet. We must overcome this problem without a erasing the problem it can not play a crucial role in maintaining peace and harmony among the nations, communities and the individuals. The importance of internet is accredited in all system of our country. In this topic I trend to identify the advantage disadvantages of internet. Because it this prevailing condition is allowed to continue in this way, the quality use will be hampered. So on the whole the main problems have been identified from different sources. In accordance with the suggestions and guidelines for the preparation of the research proposal. I went through a number of reference books browsing website and journals. Today more than 400 million users around the world connect to the internet for a variety of reason. Some of the uses of the internet are as follows. To access a wealth of information, news, research and educational banking and investing transactions.

  • To access source of entertainment and leisure such as online, games, magazines and vacation planning guides.
  • To shop for good and services reactance and educational.
  • To shop for goods and services.
  • To meet and converse with people around the world in discussion groups or chat rooms.
  • To access other computers and exchange files.
  • To end message to or receive message from other connected users.
  • To provide information photograph, audio or video.
  • To take a course or access other educational material. Internet is used in almost every field of business in investment.

Objectives of the study:

  • To know about the impact of the internet culture in our traditional norms and culture.
  • To know about the utilization of internet and its impact on young generation.

Theoretical  frame work of the study:

Basic concept

The internet is a large network of computer which links many different types of computers all over the world. It is a network of networks, which share common mechanisms for addressing (identifying) computers and a common set of communication protocols for communications between to computers on the network. (P,K. Sinha, Computer fundamentals, P-341)

Internet is a network tools through computer to computer network activities. Inter means international or whole, net means network. So internet means inter work, which connects local network like LAN, MAN WAN with international network. The internet is simply a public access wide area network, linking several million computers around the world. The internet or information superhighway is the backbone which links together a huge range of information resources such as new services corporate catalogues, bulletin boards and library archives that can be delivered directly to the user’s desktop. As an example, an internet user in Bangladesh can log on to machines and servers in America or Australia, in order to browse and download information on millions of topics. There are various ways that users can access this information, but the most popular and user friendly way is to use the world wide web. There are thousand of web services on the internet each one presenting users with formatted pages of text, sound and graphic based information. Using what is referred to as a web browser, information, using a paint and click windows based graphical user interface.

A network is a collection of computers and devices connected together via communication media and devices such as cables, telephone lines, moderns and satellites. The world’s largest network is the internet, which is a worldwide collection of networks that links together millions of businesses, government offices, educational institution.

“Internet is a network of networks- a global communication system that links together thousands of individual networks. As a result, virtually any computer on any network can communicate with any other users to exchange messages to communicate in real time (seeing messages and responses immediately) to share data and programs and to access limitless stores of information. (Peter Norton’s Introduction to computer) P-49 2006.

Internet is the extensive worldwide computer network available to the public. An internet is a more general term for any set of interconnected computer networks that are connected by internetworking. During the last decade of the 20th century the information and communication revolution has spread in the world scientific discoveries in the field of communication has accelerated, so the made an enormous movement in all fields establishing the international network the internet is considered the most important technological invention the method science achieved. (Article from journal of social science article date: July 1, 2005. Author: Ayed Hason A.)

The internet uses high speed data lines called backbones to carry data, smaller networks connect to the backbone, enabling any user on any network to exchange data with any other. In 1990-1991 Tim Berners lee and others invented the world wide web and internet collectively went through is real qualitative charge.

Culture– Culture is the totality of learned, socially transmitted customs, knowledge, material objects and behavior. It includes the ideas, values, customs and artifacts of groups of people. Totally culture is the total life style of human being.

According to Robert king Merton, “Culture as that organized set of normative values governing behoviour which is common to members of designated society. According to Spencer and Kroeber culture is super organic” Spencer believed that the animal world is charged like inorganic — organic — super organic.

Anthony Giddens says that “Culture refers to the ways of life of the members how they dress, their food habit, their marriage and customs and family life, their patterns of work, religious ceremonies and leisure pursuits. It also covers the good what they create and which become meaningful for them bows and arrows ploughs, factories and machines, computers, book and dwellings (Sociology. 1993, P-31)

The Internet: Then & Now

  • The internet was created by the Advanced Research Project agency (ARPA) and the U.S. Department of defense for scientific and military communications.
  • The internet is a network of interconnected networks. Even if part of its infrastructure was destroyed data could flow through the remaining networks.
  • The internet uses high speed data lined called backbones to carry data smaller networks connect to the backbone, enabling any user on any network to exchange data with any other user.

How the Internet works:

 TCP / IP

 Routing Traffic across the internet

 Addressing Schemes

 Domains and sub domains

TCP/IP

Every computer and network on the internet uses the same protocols (rules & procedures) to control timing and data format.

The protocol used by the internet is the Transmission control protocol/ Internet protocol, or TCP/IP.

No matter what type of computer system you connect to the internet if it uses TCP/IP, it can exchange data with any other type of computer.

Routing traffic across the Internet:

Most computers don’t connect directly to the Internet. Instead, they connect to a smaller network that is connected to the Internet backbone.

The Internet includes thousands of host computers (servers). Which provide data and services as requested by client systems.

When you use the Internet, your Pc ( a client) requests data from a host system. The request and data are broken into packets and travel across multiple networks before being reassembled at their destination.

Addressing Schemes

In order to communicate across the Internet a computer must have a unique address.

Every computer on the Internet has a unique numeric identifier, called on internet Protocol (IP) address.

Each IP address has four parts-each part a number between O and 255. An IP address might look like this 205.46.117.104

 Domain & Sub domains

In addition to an IP address most Internet hosts or servers have a Domain Name system (DNS) address, which uses words.

A domain name identifies the type of institution that Owns the computer. An Internet server owned by IBM might have the domain name ibm.com.

Some enterprises have multiple servers, and identity them with sub domains, such as products. ibm.com.

Major Features of the Internet:

  • Ø The world wide web.
  • Ø E-mail.
  • Ø News
  • Ø Telnet
  • Ø File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
  • Ø Internet Relay Chat (IRC)

The World Wide Web

  • The World wide web is a part of the internet, which supports hypertext documents, allowing users to view and nevigate different types of data.
  • A web page is a document encoded with hypertext markup language (HTML) tags.
  • HTML allows designers to link content together via hyperlinks.
  • Every web page has an address ,a uniform resource locator (URL).

E-mail

  • Electronic mail (e-mail) is the most popular reason people use the Internet.
  • To create, send, and receive e-mail messages you need an e-mail program and an account on an Internet mail server with a domain name.
  • To use e-mail, a user must have an e-mail address, which you create by adding your user name to the e-mail create by adding your user name to the e-mail server’s domain name, as in jsmith@aol.com.

News.

One Internet based service called news, includes tens of thousands of newsgroups.

Each newsgroup hosts discussions on a specific topic. A newsgroups a some indicated its users special topic of interest, such as alt.food.cake.

To participate in a newsgroup, you need a news-reader program hat.left you read articles that have been posted on a news server. You can post articles for others to read and respond to.

Telnet

Telnet is a specialized service that lets you use one computer to access the contents of another computer a telnet host.

A telnet program creates a “ Window” into the host so you can access files, issue commands, and exchange data.

Telnet is widely used by libraries to allow visitors to look up information, find articles and so on.

File transfer protocol

File Transfer protocol (ETP) is the internet tool used to copy files from one computer to another.

Using a special FTP program or a web browser, you can log into an ETP host Computer over the internet and copy files on to your computer.

FTP is handy for finding and copying software files, articles and other types of data. Universities and software companies use FTP servers to provide visitors with access to data.

Internet Relay chat (IRC)

Internet Relay chat (IRC) is a service that allows users to communicate in real time by typing text in a special window.

Like news, there are hundreds of IRC “channel” each devoted to a subject or user group.

You can use a special IRC program to participate in chat room discussions but many chat rooms are set up in web sites, enabling visitors to chat directly in their browser window.

Literature Review

 Some Ideas:

“The internet spanning over the globe is the largest and most important network of the world. It is a shared network of government and other agencies and organization from all over the world. It is not evolving into the information superhighway of the future. The internet evolved from ARPANET- a research network established by United States defense department 1969. The ARPANET was created with a view to enable academic and government research to communicate by e-mail and to share data and computing resources. Each message sent through the internet has a unique address and any internet server of the network can forward it to its destination and it affect the young generation too much.”

(Dr.M. Lutfar Rahman & Dr. M. Alamgir hossain “computer fundamental.” P-271.

“The internet has a number of news groups. Each news group allows a group of users to exchange their views on some topic of common interest and thus influence the users.” (P.K. Sinha ‘Computer fundamentals’ P-346).

“In the internet model, the main network protocol is the internet protocol(IP). The IP protocol can be involved in two types of communication. Uniting between one sender and one receivers and multicasting some processes sometimes need 50 send the same message to a large number of receivers simultaneously. This much influence in the society.” (Behrouza A Forouzan ‘Date communications and Networking’ (4 ed) P-630.

“The development and spread of electronic mail (internet) has allowed people to participate in e-mail discussion groups and electronic warshops. Simple list server software allows an email message sent by one person to be relayed to all members of an agreed discussion group. People have the option of replying in front of the whole groups (allowing public discussion) or may respond directly (allowing bilateral dialogue) it  influence the youth mostly.” (Paul Starkey ‘Networking for development.’ p-17.

The process of connecting separate networks is called internetworking. A collection of networked networks is described as being internet worked, which is where the internet a world wide network of networks gets its name. Today, the internet connects thousands of networks and hundred of millions of users around the world. It is a huge cooperation community with no central ownership. This lack of ownership is an important feature of the internet, because it means that no single person or group controls the network. Although there are several organization (such as the internet society and the world wide web consortium) that propose standard for internet related technologies and guidelines for its appropriate use. As a result the internet is open to anyone who can access it. If you can use a computer and it the computer is connected to the internet. You are free not only to use the resources posted by others but to create resources of your own is you can publish documents on the world wide web, exchange email messages and perform many other tasks. So all these are much influenced the young generation on mental construction. Peter Norton’s ‘Introduction to computers.’ 7th ed p-17.

In Doinik Songbad in 27th October 2007 published a report “Prosongo Cyber Pornograhy O meyader Aslilota” writer M.D. Khurshed Alam Khan snowed that the teenagers tough picture and watch blue film by internet browsing. As a result it is tuned in cheap way of the entertainment media on the upper class teenagers. The youth are now in danger situation by watching this type of picture and film. The internet exposures women in sexually, which is almost pornography. He finally told that those things made them delinquents.

The daily prothom alo 23rd May, 2010 published  named ‘internet nea tanatani’ writer Abdul Kalam Manjur Murshed discussed about the entrance pustory of internet. In this article he criticized and discussed’  -about some nude disposure. He also said that these are the destroyer of our youth age people.

James N. Levitt in his book “Conservation in the internet age (2002). First chapter said that the internet is extraordinarily powerful in persuading people. The internet also is where the younger generation reads its newspapers and does it research. So internet have attributed great significance effect on youth.’

Network analysts (For example, Horrison white, 1992, Wasserman and Faust, 1994, Wellonan and Berkowitz, 1988/1997) take pains to differentiate their approach from whet Ronald Burt calls “atomistic and normative” sociological focus on actors making decisions in isolation from other actors More generally, they focus on the “Personal attributes” at actors (B. Wellmon, 1983). Atomistic approaches are rejected because they are too microscopic and ignore relationships among actors. As Barry wellman puts it “Accounting for individual motives is a job better left to psychologists this course constitutes a rejection of a number of sociological theories that are in one way or another deeply concerned with motives.

“In the view of network theorists, normative approaches focus on culture and the socialization process through which norms and values are internalized in actors. In the normative orientation what holds people together is sets of shared ideas. Network theorists reject such a view and argue that one should focus on the objectives pattern of ties linking the members of society (Mizruchi 1994).”

Here in now Wellman articulates this view, Network analysts want to study regularities in now people and collectivities behave rather then regularities in beliefs about now they ought to behave. Hence network analysts try to avoid normative explanations of social behavior. They dismiss as non structural any explanation that treats social process as the sum of individual actors personal attributes and internalized Wellman, 1983 P-162)

Having made clean what it is not, network theory then clarifies its major concern social relationships or the objective pattern of ties linking the members (individual and collective) of society (Burt, 1992). Let us look at now.

 Wellman articulates this focus:

Network analysts start with the simple, but powerful, notion that primary business of sociologist is to study social structure. The most direct way to study a social structure is to analyze the pattern of ties linking its members. Network analysts search for deep structures regular networj patterns beneath the often complex surface of social systems C Actors and their structures. Thus the focus is not an voluntaristic actors, but on structural constraint. (B. Wellman 1983 P 156-157 & G. Ritzer. Modern sociological theory, sed, p-293)

‘The internet is truly international in scope. It is expanding around the globe but at differing rates for different countries. The internet transmits data from one computer (called a host) to another. If the receiving computer is on a network to which the first computer is directing connected it can sad the message directly. A message can pass through a dozon or more for orders on its way from one part of the internet to another.’ Ralph M. Stair & George W Reynolds ‘Principle of information systems.’

‘The internet exploded into the public consciousion in the mid-1990s. Because of its nature it is impossible to determine how many people are connected but all estimates agrees that the growth rate of internet sites and internet users can only be described as unprecedented. One reliable study stated that from 72 million in 2000 to 162 million in 2002.’ H.L capron & J. A. Johnson, ‘Computers tools for an international age,’

‘The explosive growth of the internet is a revolutionary phenomenon in computing and telecommunication. The internet has become the largest and most important network of networks today and has evolved into a global information superhighway. We can think of the internet as a network made up of million of smaller private networks each with the ability to operate independent of on in harmony with all the other millions of networks connects to the internet.’ –J. A. O Brien & G. M. Markas ‘Management information system’ p-20.

The internet represents one of the most important drivers of the technological revolution because it has led to the development of an entirely new form of doing business called e-commerce or e-business.

The history of the internet can be traced back to 1969, when the U.S. department of defense introduced. ARPANET a part from enabling access to remote computers the network also permitted the transfer of electronic message. In Bangladesh technological charge today is the speed of charge.

Warren J. Keegan ‘Global Marketing Manager (7Ed) person education’ p-417.

Because it is a combination of a worldwide communication system and the worlds largest public library, containing a seemingly unless range of information many people believe the internet is the most important communication medium since television.

The internet has changed the way millions of people get and distribute information. It is estimated that more than 269 million users in Europe the Pacific Rim & North America can access the internet from a home computer. For many years the number of user doubled annually making the internet the fastest growing communication medium in history, P-29.

Cultural Differences in the Consumption of the Internet

From a marketing point of view, research on global Internet usage or consumption has two fold relevance: First, the Internet as a product of ICT in general is a marketable good and its global or local market potentials are of some profitable interest. Internet consumption may therefore is a new channel of communication in addition to traditional media such as newspapers, radio, and TV, through which marketing communication such as  advertising or public relations can be spread. Marketing may therefore depend on Internet consumption.

Consumption research is an essential precondition for appropriate product design. It tries to uncover how much, by whom, where, at what  time, for what purpose, and according to whose preferences the Internet typically is used, as well as how it is used-if it is used at all.

Trend of internet service

Bangladesh joined the Net on June 6, 1996 through Information Services Network (ISN) limited with first ever 64 kbps VSAT        transmitting and receiving data via a Hong Kong Gateway. There are around 40 Internet service providers in Bangladesh. In a globalization era Internet services are going faster with the advanced technology. There are around 40 Internet service providers in Bangladesh. In a globalization era Internet services are going faster with the advanced technology. With the discovering new technology Internet provide better service to the people in everywhere. The ISPs of Bangladesh are providing dial up, broadband Internet services and software and system integration services. They believe that they can only flourish when their customer are also successful. They ensure that their customers are successful by understanding and being responsive to their needs as well as working collaboratively with them to provide one stop faster cost competitive advantages in the world of electronic communication. There have been a few newcomers into the Internet services market. Some competitors have also entered in to a price war. The year ahead will see many new challenges as they work to sustain the profitability and increase their reputation as an innovator and major force for progress. Their plan not only to survive, but also to prevail as an industry leader as we find greater acceptance and success for their products. They move ahead in a business environment still coming to terms with new contradictory telecommunication regulations that hinders the IT industry’s growth and journey towards free global information flow.

They continue to manage their business prudently. Their top priority continues to be delivery the highest quality customer service while focusing on their customer service while focusing on their goals of growth and financial strength. They remain cautious about their short-term earnings outlook primarily due to the weak economy, increasing competition and substitution and regulatory uncertainty. They will continue to exercise rigorous financial discipline in their operations with a sharpened focus on other growth divers.

DrikTAP was set up in early 1994 and has provided multifunctional electronic mail to link field workers, local organizations, technological institutions, international development organizations, activist organizations as well as governments, educational institutions and individuals.

 Methodology

Research methodology is a way to study the various steps that are generally adopted by a researchers in studying his research problems systematically along with the logic, assumptions and rationale behind them study site, study population, sampling, study instrument, pretest, , techniques of data collection data processing and analysis reliability and validity etc.

Methodology of the study

Here research is conducted by quantitative method. It known as statistical method. Quantitative analysis is an analysis of numerical coding, specially ordinal, interval ratio and tests of significance. Advocates to quantitative methods argue that only by using this method it will become true scientific. As quantitative method is well developed & easily replicable its interactive process is evaluated and  made soon.

The Study site

Today is the era of modern technology. Life become easily connected with the whole world. As the old Dhaka (Laxmibazar, Narinda, Sutrapur & Wari) etc are the urban area and I have  chosen it as the study site.

 Study Population

To collect data for the research purpose. I have selected both males and females who are knowledgeable basically young (15-30 age).

 Sampling

The researcher depend on non probability sampling to collect data,. Probability sampling could not possible for the lack of time & budget. So used here purposive sampling with in 100 knowledgeable respondent. So the sample size is100.

Study Instrument

Primary data about the internet culture and its different affects were collected from the respondents using survey method. A structural questionnaire as used to collect data. It was included two issues-

  1. Demographic information
  2. Aspect of influence.

Pre-test

For the well questionnaire which is used in research. I have done pre-test from my selected area of old Dhaka city. To justify it I utilize it into person. Some question excluded because of difficulty, first it need 60 minutes per questionnaire then it was made as such that it needed 30-40 minutes to fill up by the respondents after finishing the pre-test final questionnaire was prepared to answer.

 Techniques of data collection

Survey method was used here. Instead of mail questionnaire. Self-administered questionnaire technique was used to collect data. The field work also done with at first the research introduced himself to he respondent and then he told them about the research monograph. After  clear understanding of the respondents the researcher delivered them questionnaire and by this way he collected data.

Data processing and analysis

Quantitative data processing involved the following steps:

 Questionnaire making

 Classification according the open-ended responses

 Data entry and  entry verification

Entering data as per questionnaire structure in SPSS.

Verifying the logic and accuracy of the data as per filled up questionnaire

Inputting data into SPSS work sheet,

Tabulating as per objective and requirement Quantum. (an upgraded version of SPSS) also tabulating data in SPSS 11.0 version

Program development as per the analysis plan

 Report generation.

Reliability and Validity:

This study was conducted at OldDhakaCity. As the research was done in a large area, the findings from this study must not be generalized. The budget was not sufficient to conduct research and time was also limited. So, lack of budget and time, the research was done by purposive sampling and the sample size was not enough to generalize study. It is not possible to validate scrutinizing the impact of Internet culture on Bangladeshi young through only the views of the respondents in this study. So, the reliability of this study is not strong.

Limitation of the study:

  1. The researcher should have taken sample size more than 200, but he could not do this for want to time and money.
  2. Because of lack of time, the researcher could not read through many books that are written about Internet culture and its impact on young generation of Bangladesh.
  3. Many respondents were reluctant to answer the questions that uttered in the questionnaire.
  4. To understand the characteristics and dimension of Internet culture more question should have been included.
  5. Some questions were kept blank by the respondents because of lack of variations of answers.

GENERAL DISCUSSION

Here in general discussion, I am trying to show my data analysis by the below two categories: such as-

a)     Demographic information

b)    Aspect of influence

At first and foremost demographic information, here completely  included respondent’s educational status, religion, age, discipline of the study and the respondents placement of living. In my research. I am strongly used 100 knowledgeable respondents as a sample size. So I have noticed that all of the sincere respondents were students. Maximum respondents were, Muslim, bears 21-25 years old, study discipline is science and live in the Laxmibazar.

In the second term of aspect of influence. I use some concepts such as, internet culture, daily spending time, affecting level of thought, function, dimension, present era culture, a dominated culture, imperialism, globalization, acceptableness intellectual forms, browsing performance young changing outlook, young seriousness on behalf of internet using.

Here I have collected all data sincerely and carefully on favoring of the definition of the internet culture maximum (30%) respondents said it is the modern era scientific technical culture, Maximum 58% students use it two hour per day, it also strongly (42%) affect level of thought, maximum respondent the highest 68% of the respondents influenced  by the educational dimension.

For examination of the internet of the city young 77% respondent shown very much interest. As by the easily connecting capacity and doing different works it is noted by 36% respondent (table 5.20) 65% respondents are, influenced by the facebook. As for the question of does it create bad impression on Bangladeshi culture? 48% respondents (highest) chose yes answer. As on the basis of the intelligence 52% respondents show that internet user are more intellectual than others (table 5.24). They also highly familiar with the outer cultural world (table 5.25) Maximum 53% respondent shown the significant performance (table 5.26). On the question of broaden outlook, highest 64% respondent shown their positive answer (table 5.28). At the lastly on the question of user seriousness, here we found that 69% respondent become more serious about using it.

So at last but not last, it is clear that internet culture positively affects on old Dhaka city young.

CONCLUSION

The substantial objective of the discussing research is that to trace out the impact of the internet culture on young of old Dhaka city. For this consideration. I have used some precise objectives to bold out the absolute result, at the same time it is possible to upheaval same result by using some other sociological phenomena. At present internet shows the modern scientific technical device, it can connect everything hasty, it also a new form of entertainment and acquiring knowledge precisely it is  to be said the social network. It also connect other cultural world. It  adapted life with modern device. Facebook, email, chatting, video-conference etc. creates life luxurious and cheerful. As it is also the available in old Dhaka 58% of respondent per day two hours use it (source: table 5.7), later in table 5.8 shown that it also strongly (42%) affects level of thought. 55% respondent are used it for their personal function (table 5.9) 68% respondent  shown the influential aspect of education. So all these above  experiment shown the positive conclusion of old Dhaka city young internet user. Nevertheless it is negatively affect 42% respondent (source: table 5.13) At the same it become the form of western domination, cultural imperialism and result of globalization. Despite these it positively develop young performance broaden outlook thought. So we should be more serious in further it will be used positively. So it cherished that it is become the effective sociological study for salving negative aspect and socio problem. For those reason we get some recommendation to use it more positively.

RECOMMENDATION

Internet culture brings the whole would in a one point. So now a days long distance would not also seemed distance. It creates the strong connectivity of the whole country of the world. In Bangladesh specially old Dhaka city it is available here. It provides the educational information, different culture of the mankind, instant happening of the world. So it cherished the complete knowledge of life. Nevertheless as the easy connecting anyone can get bad photos movies or other negative file or folder. Which can destroy young mentality. So I recommended some words for future long welfare of the internet oriented society.

  1. We should take some step so that naked film could not be published.
  2. We should create sound environment for easily browsing internet.
  3. Government should come forward to connected freely more area of the country. So that young can gather knowledge.
  4. As it till now play positive activities so its carrying cost should be decreased.
  5. Net hacked could be honest and not to hampering others information.
  6. More educational information should be supplied so that more knowledge thirsty body can get it.
  7. We should encouraged our children to use it positively, then it will helpful for our nation.
