NAS is a short form for Network Attached Storage. As the name suggests, a NAS storage device is merely a storage device connected to a network to permit different users simple access to store and retrieve stored files and data on the network. To superior appreciate this device you can imagine of it as a multiple user USB flash or hard drive. An external flash o hard drive can be linked to a computer system via the USB port and used as a storage device.
