Prime purpose of this lecture is to present on Flag of Maldives. The flag of the Republic of Maldives is red with a large green rectangle in the center bearing a vertical white crescent; the closed side of the crescent is on the hoist side of the flag. The red base represents the blood spilled for independence and the nation’s sovereignty. The green stands for peace and prosperity as well as the country’s wealth of palm trees and the crescent symbolizes the Islamic faith of the island nation.
