Hookworm infection is generally not a critical disease, but the viruses suck blood when they hang by their mouths through the lining of the intestine. Bleeding in to the intestine can also occur. Individuals infected together with many hookworms are initially more likely to suffer from nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, soft stools, fatigue, along with weakness.
