Interplanetary Medium

This interplanetary medium includes interplanetary dust, cosmic rays as well as hot plasma from the solar wind. The temperature on the interplanetary medium differs. For dust particles in the asteroid belt, typical temperatures consist of 200 K on 2.2 AU into 165 K (−108 °C) on 3.2 AU The density on the interplanetary medium can be quite low, about 5 allergens per cubic centimeter in the vicinity of the Earth.
