Nuclear Reprocessing

Nuclear Reprocessing

Nuclear reprocessing technology was created to chemically separate and recover fissionable plutonium through irradiated nuclear energy resource. Reprocessing serves a number of purposes, whose relative value has changed after a while. Originally, reprocessing has been used solely to extract plutonium intended for producing nuclear items. With the commercialization regarding nuclear power, the reprocessed plutonium was recycled back in MOX nuclear energy resource for thermal reactors.
