The aim of this lecture is to present on Sun: General Properties. Common Sun Properties are: Spectral type G2V; Age: ~ 4.52 Gyr; Absolute visual magnitude MV = 4.83; Central temperature = 15 million 0K; Effective (surface) temperature = 5770 0K. The rotation of the sun is made evident by the sunspots that cross the solar disk in about two weeks, then disappear, and then reappear at the opposite limb (or curved edge) two weeks later.
