As a field of study, somatic psychology has become defined as: “the study from the mind/body interface, the connection between our physical matter and the energy, the interaction of our body structures with his thoughts and behavior.” Somatic psychology is an interdisciplinary field concerning the study of the entire body, somatic experience, as well as the embodied self, including therapeutic and holistic approaches to body.
