National Adaptation Programme of Action

Adaptation Programme towards adverse effects of climate change is, along along with mitigation, a major division of action for the Parties underneath the Convention. A key obligation envisaged for State Parties may be the formulation of Adaptation Strategies. The importance of Adaptation Programme was reaffirmed in the Delhi Ministerial Declaration on Climate Change and Environmentally friendly Development. The Declaration information, for example, that adaptation towards adverse effects of climate change is of high priority for everyone countries. Developing countries are usually particularly vulnerable, especially the lowest amount of developed countries as well as Small Island Developing States. The main focus with the LDC work programme include the national adaptation programmes of action, which provide a process for LDCs to identify priority activities that react to their urgent and immediate needs intended for adaptation to climate modify.
