Political Consciousness typically refers to the idea of a being that’s self-aware. It is a distinction often reserved for humankind. This remains the first and most common use of the term. But a distinctive line of political and philosophical inquiry showed which explores consciousness when it comes to one’s political way of thinking. For Marx, consciousness describes an individual’s political sense regarding self. That is, consciousness describes an individual’s awareness of nation-wide politics.
