Confirmation Bias

Confirmation Bias

Confirmation bias effects generally in information processing. Confirmation bias is the tendency to search for, interpret or recall information in a way that confirms one’s values or hypotheses. It is just a type of cognitive bias along with a systematic error connected with inductive reasoning. People display this bias after they gather or recall information selectively, or after they interpret it in a biased way. The issue is stronger intended for emotionally charged concerns and for profoundly entrenched beliefs.
