Reflexive Modernization

The concept of reflexive modernization or reflexive modernity premiered by a combined effort of three with the leading European sociologists — Anthony Giddens, Ulrich Beck along with Scott Lash. The introduction of the concept served some sort of double purpose: to reassess sociology being a science of the present; and to supply a counterbalance to the actual postmodernist paradigm providing a re-constructive see alongside deconstruction.
