The key problems with non-concentrating PHOTO VOLTAIC are that PV cells continue to be more expensive relative to the other techniques, and require a relatively large area to become acceptable for a significantly sized electric power station. In supplement, semiconductor PV panels will demand a relatively great deal of energy to make; amorphous-silicon designs require a reduced amount of energy to produce but are actually substantially less effective.
