It is a broadly described annual report of Shinepukur Ceramics Limited in the year of 2015-16. SCL paid over Taka 157.026 million in the form of VAT & Income tax during the period (18 months) which was Taka 77.563 million in 2014 (12 months). During the period 01 January 2015 to 30 June 2016 (18 months) the company earned export sales of Tk. 1,340.66 million against Tk. 1235.61 million in 2014 (12 months), which had a negative growth of 27.67% primarily due to falling in export sales. overall revenue including other income earned during the period was Tk. 2,080.56 million, 18.42% lower than 2014 when overall revenue earning was Tk.1700.28 million. Gross profit ratio for the period went down to 22.08% compared to 25.29% of 2014. Net Assets value (NAV) per share also decreased to Tk. 28.09 on 30 June 2016, which was Tk. 29.02 on 31st December 2014.
The Board of Directors has recommended no dividend for the period as the Company incurred loss and there are no available retained earnings for declaring the dividend. These financial statements are presented in Bangladesh Taka (Taka/Tk/BDT) which is the company’s functional currency. All financial information presented in Taka has been rounded off to the nearest Taka.
