Drop Shipping is a retail fulfillment method where a store doesn’t keep the products it sells in stock. It can occur when a small retailer that typically sells in small quantities to the general public receives a single large order for a product. The biggest difference between dropshipping and the standard retail model is that the selling merchant doesn’t stock or own inventory. Drop shipping isn’t a magic formula and real success takes significant work and time, but it’s a viable online business model with very low risk.
