Global Value Chain

Main objective of this article is to describe Global Value Chain. The idea of a value chain is used to analyse international trade within global value chains which comprises “the full array of activities that are necessary to bring a product from its pregnancy, through its pattern, its sourced recycleables and intermediate inputs, its marketing, its distribution and support to a final consumer”. Specifically, when activities has to be coordinated across geographies, the word global value chain is used in the improvement literature. Global value chain considerations must be the cause of the very real phenomenon inside the manufacturing business of increased outsourcing and off-shoring of creation.
