Requirements Elicitation

Requirements Elicitation

Within requirements engineering, requirements elicitation is the practice of collecting the needs of a technique from users, customers as well as other stakeholders. The term elicitation can be used in books and also research to raise the fact good requirements can’t just be collected from the customer, as would be indicated by the actual name requirements getting. Requirements elicitation is non-trivial since you also can never make sure you get all requirements from the user and customer  by asking them what the machine should do. Needs elicitation consist of interviews, questionnaires, person observation, workshops, brainstorming, position playing and prototyping.
