How to write Auditions Announcement Letter?

An audition is essentially an interview held for a performer, be it a musician, an actor, singer or dancer. The greeting and first paragraph of your cover letter are the first impression casting directors have of you. Here the candidate offers a private performance for a roster of judges to showcase his/her skill and suitability for the required role. Note other auditions you’ve nailed and roles you’ve performed. Roles usually require a very specific quality in a person, and judges need to see an artist up close in his/her element to see if he/she suits the role. Hence, an audition is a fairly common and routine practice to find suitable artists for a play, musical, film or dance performance.

An Audition Announcement Letter is written by the person who is in charge of organizing the whole event. The letter must contain all the necessary information with respect to the event. This includes the no of performers required for each category, such as actors, musicians, singers, backstage personnel etc. A successful audition announcement letter also contains the rules or criteria necessary for the audition including eligibility requirements as well as other miscellaneous information such as means of communication, venue etc.
