True Education

Education means to develop one’s mind through formal learning in different institutions. It helps to develop a person mentally and intellectually. It helps one to meet challenges. By true education, we mean the co-ordinate education through which one can a lot individually and socially. It does not necessarily mean the type of education to pass the examinations with credit and get good jobs only. By true education, we mean the education by which the learner himself is benefited and the society and the state also get benefited. The meaning of true education is still greater. The aim of true education is to enlighten the individual. It is not confined to only academic institutions. It means more than a preparation for the life that now is. It has to do with the whole being and with the whole period of existence possible to man. It is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual powers. It prepares the student for the joy of service in the world to come. Social service is a part of true education. A truly educated man does not only for himself but also for others. Our family and society help us in many ways to flourish our latent talent and to become a worthy man. Academic knowledge refines a man properly and is important for broad thinking. Travelling is also a part of true education. My academic knowledge is supplemented by social service and study tours. True education enables one to make the right choices so that one can go ahead. It also gives a man a clear conscious view of his own opinions and judgments. True education is the lifeblood of our movement; without it, we shall surely fail. The aim of our education should be to acquire true knowledge and I think I am acquiring so.
