Biomechanics is closely relevant to engineering, because it frequently uses traditional engineering sciences to research biological systems. Used mechanics, most notably mechanical engineering disciplines such as continuum mechanics, device analysis, structural examination, kinematics and character play prominent roles in the study of biomechanics. Biomechanics is the study of the structure and function of biological systems.
