Can you solve this Fruity Little Logical Riddle?

Welcome to the logical garden just outside Rationalville, where the fruits are absolutely delicious and reason reigns supreme. But don’t think that this is a place where mistakes aren’t made. And indeed, sometimes we can benefit from an external opinion. Are we ready to try and solve this puzzle situation in our hands? So we just picked a beautiful crop of apples and oranges.

Two crates are not enough to fill completely so it is very reasonable we put together a crate of apples, a crate of oranges, and a crate of apples and oranges.

We nailed the crate shots and went to label them but alas we made a mistake! Each crate received the wrong label. And we can’t just go to the test to open each crate! It will be a waste of time and then we will have to find new ids and nail them again. But each crate has a small opening where one can hold a single fruit by the hand.

Due to the Covid rules it can only be done once and for a single crate only. You’re here! So you need to pick the crates and you can bring out one and only one fruit. Can you choose the right crate to correct our mistake and why was it the right choice? The correct answer after the break!
