General purpose of this lecture is to present on Cell Cycle and Cancer. The cell cycle, the process by which cells progress and divide, lies at the heart of cancer. In normal cells, the cell cycle is controlled by a complex series of signaling pathways by which a cell grows, replicates its DNA and divides. There are several factors that regulate the cell cycle and assure a cell divides correctly: Before a cell divides, the DNA is checked to make sure it has replicated correctly. And Chemical Signals tell a cell when to start and stop dividing.
