Genetics of Aging studies that integrate cellular, molecular, biochemical, and proteomic aspects of aging are welcome; it also aims to publish works describing the contribution to the aging process of interactions between genes and the environment. It is a multidisciplinary section that publishes research probing the genetic and molecular bases of aging, and aging-related processes, in humans and animal models. This is generally concerned with life extension associated with genetic alterations, rather than with accelerated aging diseases leading to reduction in lifespan.
