Hydrogeology is an interdisciplinary subject; it can be challenging to account fully to the chemical, physical, biological and in some cases legal interactions among soil, water, nature and society. The study of this interaction between groundwater movement and geology could be very complex. Hydrogeology is the area of geology that deals with all the distribution and movement of groundwater from the soil and rocks from the Earth’s crust. The term geohydrology is frequently used interchangeably.
