General objective of this lecture is to present on Australia: Continent Series. Physical geography. Australia is a country, and a continent. It is located in Oceania between the Indian Ocean and the South Pacific Ocean. Australia comprises a land area of about 7.692 million square kilometres. Grasslands are open habitats covered mainly in grass, but also with other plants, wildflowers and a small number of trees and low shrubs. Grasslands contain the most species of plants in Australia.
