Geochemistry is the science that uses the equipment and principles of chemistry to explain the mechanisms guiding major geological systems including the Earth’s crust and its oceans. The realm involving geochemistry extends beyond planet earth, encompassing the total Solar System and contains made important contributions on the understanding of numerous processes including layer convection.
