A bone fracture is a medical circumstance in which there is spoil in the stability of the bone. A bone fracture can be the consequence of high force impact or stress, or a minimal trauma injury as a consequence of certain medical circumstances that weaken the bones, such as osteoporosis, bone cancer, or osteogenesis imperfecta, where the fracture is then appropriately termed a pathologic fracture.
