General purpose of this lecture is to present on Conversion of Units. Unit conversion is a multi-step process that involves multiplication or division by a numerical factor, selection of the correct number of significant digits, and rounding. Conversion of units Example: 1cm – 10mm; 1m – 100cm; 1km – 1000m etc. Volume is the volume of a three-dimensional figure is the amount of space within it. Capacity is the amount of material (usually liquid) that a container can hold. Capacity is measured in millilitres, litres and kilolitres.
