Interruption Science is a branch of psychology. It is the study of how disruptions from current tasks affect employees on the job. It is the interdisciplinarity scientific study concerned with how interruptions affect human performance, and the development interventions to ameliorate the disruption caused by interruptions. It provides insight into why multitasking is so ineffective. Interruption Science also explores the impact of events on employee stress, job satisfaction and productivity.
